This is Rural Rebellion.
We believe that farming is the first and final technology — and that the answers to our biggest challenges may come not from glass towers, but from barns, byres, and bothies. We cover the frontier where tradition meets invention: where AI helps sow a field, where a solar panel powers a workshop, where a farmer becomes a coder, a maker, or a rebel.
We are based in the UK — a land of ancient commons and new enclosures, rogue gardeners and rules-bound planners, weather-hardened optimists and bureaucratic pessimists. But our audience is global. Rural people everywhere are solving problems that cities are only just beginning to understand.
We write for those who live off-grid and those who dream of it. For agroecologists, smallholders, builders, makers, and people who are tired of watching their communities decline while decisions are made elsewhere.
